It is nearing my second night on Texel.  I am sitting with Ivo and his wife Marjon who just cooked us a lovely meal of fondue, bread and vegetables.  We have been discussing everything that has happened in the past two days and I am now having a hard time deciding what to write about.

It has been really great seeing a working farm that has been established for many years.  One thing that I am finding out more and more about farming is that their is not just one way of doing things.  Everybody has an opinion about the best way to do a certain thing even though their are other people who do it differently.  I will take alot away from this experience if not just learning how to take small pieces of information and technique and applying it to our farm in small ways.  Every farm is different so you cannot take whole operations and have it apply to your specific land, but every farm that I visit I will take things away from.
